Seth Macfarlane: BAMF…. Also, Me: Obsessed with Strike

November 8, 2007 · Leave a Comment

Variety is reporting that Seth Macfarlane’s refusal to step into the studio as either a producer or actor maybe shutting down “Family Guy” very soon. In the Variety article, I found this quote particularly amusing:

“They could, but it would be unwise,” Macfarlane says.

And why would that be?

“Because I would be angry,” the scribe said.

Hahaha. I love him. More support for the strike!

Speaking of the strike, I just think I should put out a little explanation/disclaimer. You may have noticed that I have been posting a lot about the WGA strike. If you’ve read the “about” section, you’d know I am a film student, and if you’ve read any of this blog you may have noticed that I’m more than a little “green.” No, I’m not an expert on these issues, but my purpose in starting this blog was to give myself a reason to research what is going on in the industry I’m trying to be a part of, as well as a vehicle for me to develop my opinions with. If I ever have any facts wrong or something I say seems amiss, feel free to correct me in the comments section. Actually, I’m hoping you do. It’s another way for me to learn… even if I don’t agree with you in the end.

That said, expect a lot more on the strike. Since I live in New York (yes, I’m one of those NYU film nerds), I may be paying a visit to the picket lines to take some pictures and learn a little more first-hand.
